The Helmet

• The Shell of the Yamaha Absolute Hybrid consists of a central core of wenge, a very hard and heavy African wood, intercalated between maple layers, wood known for the clarity of its sound. This hybrid design provides  a clear tone  with a great shy wealth at any point of the dynamic range you touch.
• The cutting of the axis in the snare drum uses a 45o/R1.5 edge 
• The interiors of the shells are covered with Yamaha's exclusive "Vintage Natural" finish to improve the tone.
• The lugs are “hook” type and allow to change heads quickly and easily, also improve the precision the tuning and support very high tuning problems. These are lugs are designed to interfere minimally the wood, and therefore do not affect the natural tone of Shell.
