Description

The Starphonic Bubinga has a Shell thinner than the series Starclassic Bubinga and this provides a softer and warmer sound. The reduction thickness of the Shell round the powerful sound the Bubinga, but still proves an excellent tone and total resonance. The Grooved Hoop emphasizes its sharp projection the warmth of the grave the Bubinga. A beautiful outer layer of wood Matte Natural Cordia combines perfectly with the noble sound of this snare drum.

Snare Drums Tama Starphonic

The series Tama Starphonic is made up of several models of different sizes and materials so that you choose the model that best suits your needs as drummers. No matter what kind of music you play, in Tam Tam Percussion we are sure you will find the snare drum perfect in this series.

Hoops

The first factor Tama thought to achieve a new sound snare drum was the effect of hoop and studied the evolution hoop over time.

And they came up with an idea that combines vintage design and modern technology. That idea is the essence of the totally new "Grooved Hoop".

Cutting axes

The shape of the edge is one of the most important factors affecting the sound of a snare drum. This is it the reason the that Tama has worked so hard to achieve the more functional form for this important factor.

In the Starphonic wood top edge angle is set 2.5 mm inside the outer surface Shell.

The edge is cut to a round collar to follow the natural form of the head

This design, which creates a better fit between head and the edge maximises the resonance the snare drum.
