The acorn
The nylon tips allow percussionists to change the richness of the wood, to the brightness of the nylon without sacrificing sensation and balance. And with the injection moulding process, they won't blow up or fly. Injection moulding process. By merging nylon with wood, the tips are guaranteed not to jump or fly away. The injection process also allows to create complex and precision forms that match exactly with their wooden tip equivalents.
The wood
Promark's American Walnut Jackets (hickory) as the rest of the drums of this brand are made of very high quality material and with the latest technological advances in the manufacture of batches.
It is undoubtedly the wood most used in the manufacture of drums and the preferred by the vast majority of drummers for its durability, weight and flexibility.
The Hickory is more dense than the maple (about 10%) and less than the Japanese oak (about 10% too). Density and the natural sensation of this wood makes it the preferred by a vast majority of drummers.
