About us  Ahead 
The drummer and engineer Rick Grossman saw during the 1990s a trend in sports items. The wooden baseball bats and hockey sticks were replaced by lighter and longer-lasting aluminium. Grossman thought this technology could be applied to drums and developed a prototype and thus the Ahead company was born. The Ahead batches have found the favor of Metal artists and a lot of drummers of other styles and can be seen today in the hands of Lars Ulrich, Mick Fleetwood and Tommy Lee, to name some.
