The aim of this book is to show other ways of conceiving and interpreting the flamenco rhythms and beats, through an alternative, synthetic and practical approach, of the musical notation, and traditional rhythms and patterns adapted to other styles and percussion instruments, proposing working methods to deepen this rhythm fusion.

This project is part of the most current studies of music research on the origin and evolution of flamenco, its relationship with the black music and the journey of "back and forth" of its influences across the american continent, finding how the mestizo character of this art is still in force, and currently in process.
Book directed not only to percussionists, but to all those musicians interested in broadening their knowledge of Flemish rhythmic language and exploring, experiencing and discovering rhythmic sounds compatible with it.
Juan Sainz (drum). Provider the jazz scene, has collaborated with flamencos such as Juanito Villar, Rancapino, Chiquetete, Familia Montoya (Enrique y Tate), José Mercé, Pansequito, María Jiménez, Sal Marina, Pedro el Granaíno (Eternal Musical Camarón), Piculabe, David Palomar, Raúl Gálvez. Also with artists such as Pasión Vega, Javier Ruibal, El Barrio (for 17 years), Maita Vende Cá, The Channel, Boy Bass Drum Infierno, El Kanka, Antonio Martínez Ares, etc. And with players such as Dorantes, Chano Domínguez, Carmelo Muriel (also cooperated in his book “Flamenco and Harmony”), Piet Verbist (currently participating in a research project on flamenco of this counter- bass player, jazz professor of the Antwerp Conservatory), Orchestra Manuel de Falla, etc. Professional Degree of Percussion by the Conservatory Manuel de Falla of Cádiz, is a professor of the School of Music the University of Cadiz since 1997.
Malick Mbengue (percussion) He has shared stage with Latin music artists such as Alain Pérez, Jerry González, Andalucia & Big Band (Miguel Blanco, dir & arrr), Elian Correa, Octavio Kotan, Kiko Cowan, Lokandes, Jesús Cutiño Rene Álvarez, Edwin Sanz, Arms Gerardo, Juanita Euka, El Chamito Candela, Captain Bombay, Jackson Scott. Regarding the flamenco genre he has collaborated with artists such as Carmen Ledezma, David Palomar, Ramón Heredia, Leo Power, Chano and Pablo Domínguez, Antonio Lizana, Mercedes Ruiz, Álvaro Guarnido, Felipe de Algeciras, Raul Obregón, Davile de Mane, Nati Palomo, Jesús Olmedo, María the Monica, Alfonso Gamaza, Ricardo Piñero, Tito Alcedo, Nono García, Juani de the Island (Alburquerque Tour, USA), Luis Balaguer, Elena the Machana, John Cervantes (Royal Academy of London) Claudia Valentina, etc. He studied at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory and in London. Professor the School of Music the UCA.
