The drums e/ Merge de Pearl, with its shells Pearl real size and 6-layer PUREtouch affinable pads offer control and response as you have never experienced with an eKit.

The Module
The MDL-1 module combines an impressive acoustic sound library with one of the snare drums of rhythms and electronics that made Korg famous. In the acoustic part you will find a collection of drums Pearl. Kits are organized by modern and vintage sets, along with some of the heads most popular. For the electronic part, available to you  an impressive collection of sounds taken from Korg files. You also have to complete the library, a wide selection of orchestra, concert and world percussion sounds.
The mDL-1 interface is impressive, all the main functions can be activated with dedicated buttons on the front panel. Access is also available the personalization through a series programmable buttons.
A truly distinctive feature of the MDL-1 is the Ambience control that will allow you to climb up and down on the march the level of microphones the room captured during the recording session. 
The MDL-1 allows you to upload your own samples as WAV files through a USB drive. You can also update your settings, allowing you to save and recover sets in an easy and fast way
Of course you can record rhythms and score ideas with the 16 GB internal memory, capable of recording 12 hours.
Eight dedicated outputs will give you or the sound technician a total control in a PA or recording studio although it also obviously has L-R outputs. The audio output via USB turns the MDL-1 into a perfect interface for multitrack recording. Of course it has MIDI output and auxiliary input.

Pads
The E/MErge has eight pads that connect to MDL-1 via a connection cable DB-25. You can connect additional pads through three 1/4" inputs on the side of the module.
The pad snare drum 14” and two fonocaptors use the korg Wave Trigger technology Wavedrum provides you with a perfect response and impressive realism. This system is so sensitive that Pearl says even the election the drumstick influences sound. 
The pad bass drum 18” supports perfectly double pedals and the head double-layered PUREtouch will give you a very natural response. Plus her aesthetics will make you feel like a drum acoustics.
The toms of 10, 12 and 14” give to the e/Merge one more point for acoustic realism. PUREtouch pads can be routed to iactivate loops or special effects and auxiliary percussion.
The pearl and Korg PUREtouch technology clearly applies to its cymbals real size. Each of these cymbals is composed of a multi-layer interior with a rubber exterior and have a very real weight, balance and response, except for volume. You can obviously turn off the sound with the hands.

Hardware
Pearl racks have long been famous and obviously wanted to include their new Icon Rack on this set. Its characteristic square tube and its chrome steel construction give it an impressive look and the durability that drummers need
The Icon e-Rack is equipped with three Uni-Lock tom arms along with arms cymbals Uni-Lock. Simply add a stand of hi-hat drum throne and the pedal bass drum and your e/Merge will be ready and running.
