The Nova Baquetas are manufactured by Vic Firth to offer at a cheaper price a high quality baqueta. These drums are manufactured in the same factory and with the same machinery with which their “older brothers” are made
- High-quality hickory
- Very resistant
7A batches are perfect for low-volume situations. It's a 5A stick a little reduced but with great balance. Perfect when speed and touch are the top priority. If 5A batches are too heavy for you, maybe these are your batches.
The wood
The American Walnut Jackets (hickory) as the rest of the drums of this brand, are manufactured with top quality material and with the latest technological advances in the manufacture of drums. It is undoubtedly the most used wood in the manufacture of drums and the preferred by the vast majority of drummers for its durability, weight and flexibility. The Hickory is more dense than the maple (about 10%) and less than the Japanese oak (about 10% too). The density and natural sensation of this wood makes it the preferred by a vast majority of drummers.
