A new concept in the manufacture of Zildjian patented baquetas: Rubber pieces introduced in the back of the baqueta that makes the vibrations of the wood diminish substantially without varying the flexibility or weight of the baqueta. Zildjian's anti-vibe technology has been consolidated as the only valid option to eliminate vibrations in the batches. The 5A batches are the most used by drummers of virtually all styles. They have a standard length of 16” (40 cm) and 0.565 in diameter. Whatever your style a 5A can be your jacket.
The wood
The American Walnut Jackets (hickory) as the rest of the drums of this brand, are manufactured with top quality material and with the latest technological advances in the manufacture of drums. It is undoubtedly the most used wood in the manufacture of drums and the preferred by the vast majority of drummers for its durability, weight and flexibility. The Hickory is more dense than the maple (about 10%) and less than the Japanese oak (about 10% too). The density and natural sensation of this wood makes it the preferred by a vast majority of drummers.
