Vater's R & D team presents a new innovation drumsticks which guarantees greater durability because it does not break due to wear in the central area. For many months, Vater has been working on what is now called the Series Extended Play TM.

Vater Extended PlayTM is a drumstick extremely durable that has two distinct features to help solve common wear problems the drumsticks. The first feature is a durable pearl finish that protects the tip and the area of the loin that brakes the shipyard and the cracking. The second feature is the exclusive 3-inch Stick Shield TM placed in the central area and is highly impact resistant and 8 times stronger than steel. The area of grip of the drumstick has the same finish you can find in all the drumsticks Vater. The wood
The Hickory (American Walnut) is the wood most used in the manufacture drumsticks by the great resistance to bear blows.  The Hickory is more dense than the maple (about 10%) and less than the Japanese oak (about 10% too).
