The heads Symmetry have a collar specially designed to fit to the edge of Shell. As tension is applied, the symmetrical folds in the necklace head fit to provide an appropriate fit and thus achieve an optimal tone, tuning stability and projection. Due to the non-standardization and variation in the manufacture found in the congas, the initial adjustment of the head in each drum model can vary. When installing heads, make sure you level and focus heads and keep that balance by adding tension to the drum slowly and evenly. As you approach the drum to the desired tone, the head will adjust to Shell.
