The Congas Classic Model of LP were the first congas manufactured by Latin Percussion. They have become the standard by which other wooden shells are judged.

Since LP started manufacturing these congas, a vast majority of professional percussionists the they have used on their tours and recordings.
The classic congas have a more pronounced “barriga” than besides distinguishing them clearly provides a characteristic, warm sound that highlights the medium and sharp ranges of the conga.
They are built of ecological Siam oak wood with a fiberglass reinforcement in the upper inner part of Shell and that provides additional resistance
