Meinl China 18" Byzance Brillant B18CH-B

Although 'Brilliant' refers to its finish, this series it actually has a darker sound than the series Byzance Traditional. This darker sound is due to the finishing process that limits the upper end as the cymbal softens with its bright look. The combination of dark tones and warmth makes the Byzance Brilliant an excellent choice for virtually all styles, from funk and fusion to rock.

Clean and clearly dark sound with a wide range of frequencies. Bright attack and moderate sustain.

The alloy

The series Byzance de Meinl is manufactured in Turkey with the famous B20 alloy and scrupulously following all the steps with which for centuries are manufactured the best cymbals of the world. This B20 alloy is composed of 80% copper and a  20% tin, a alloy that can be difficult to work as it requires a great reworking and recollecting due to its natural state that is very fragile.
