The S-Hoop offers the best of the two types hoop. The S-Hoop is more dense than a hoop triple traditional flanged, which helps to dry the harmonics and improve the stability the tuning, but its construction is closer to a hoop vintage with inward edges. Instead of the top edge of the hoop turn out like in the hoops standard, the hoops in S turn towards head. This makes the hoop be more rigid and create the effect of a hoop of foundry, but without the drying of those types of hoop. The sound is more neutral than the hoops casting, which allows to shine the tone of your tom or snare drum.
